While humanoid beings maintain a tentative presence in K'un-L'un, the Dominant Lifeform on the planet is actually a sentient plant-form known as the H'ylthri. K'un-L'un, in Chinese legend, is a home of gods. In fact the city is populated by descendants of an alien race who crashed there long ago and were unable to leave. It was in K'un-L'un that Daniel Rand received the traning and power that enabled him to become Iron Fist.
