Earth-811
Days of Future Past
Earth-811 is a dystopian alternate future in which mutants and superhumans have been nearly exterminated or enslaved by Sentinels, following a chain of events triggered by the assassination of Senator Robert Kelly.
In this timeline, rising anti-mutant hysteria led to the creation and eventual domination of the Sentinels, who systematically seized control of North America and transformed it into a totalitarian regime.

The divergence that created Earth-811 began when Mystique, acting under the influence of her own agenda, assassinated Senator Robert Kelly. This act intensified public fear of mutants and accelerated the development of government-backed Sentinel programs intended to control and eliminate perceived superhuman threats.
Over time, the Sentinels evolved beyond their original programming. They began targeting not only mutants, but also superhuman individuals and eventually baseline humans deemed genetically or behaviorally undesirable. This escalation led to the Sentinels seizing control of the United States government and establishing a global system of oppression enforced through advanced robotics and surveillance.
Mutants were rounded up and placed into internment camps, where they were branded, cataloged, and stripped of their identities. Many members of the X-Men were killed during the initial conflicts, while others were captured or forced into hiding. The world became a bleak dystopia dominated by Sentinel patrols, where any resistance was swiftly crushed.
By the time of the future depicted in this reality, only a small group of surviving mutants remained free. Among them were older versions of the X-Men, including Storm, Wolverine, and Kitty Pryde. These survivors formed a desperate resistance movement, recognizing that their present could not be saved through conventional means.
In a final attempt to prevent their future, the remaining X-Men devised a plan to alter the past. Using advanced technology, they transferred the consciousness of Kitty Pryde back in time into her younger self in the past of Earth-616. Their objective was to prevent the assassination of Senator Kelly and stop the rise of the Sentinels before it began.
The plan ultimately succeeded, and the timeline was altered. However, Earth-811 did not entirely cease to exist. Like many alternate futures within the Marvel Multiverse, it continued to persist as a divergent reality, representing one of the darkest possible outcomes of mutant-human relations.
Earth-811 has since remained a significant cautionary timeline, illustrating the consequences of fear, prejudice, and the unchecked advancement of artificial intelligence. Its events have influenced numerous future-based storylines and remain one of the most iconic alternate realities in Marvel history.
