Not much is known of Shaw's life prior to the day her spirit was removed, from her body, from the hospital in New York and it was transformed by the Heliopolitan god, Seth, into the being known as Wind Warrior. It is know that she lost a child and that her husband left her. As Wind Warrior, she followed the rest of Earth Force into battle against the Asgardians Hogun the Grim and Thor.

Wind Warrior was once a good person and she continued to be so in her new identity. As with the rest of Earth Force, she was injuried again while battling against Seth, but was healed by the other Heliopolitan god and returned mere moments after Seth had taken her.
