Narda Ravanna and her sister Desiree built themselves a prosperous fashion and cosmetic firm in Europe but were put out of business when a business rival ruined them with bad publicity. Using her knowledge of chemistry, Narda developed a number of chemical weapons, donned a disguise, and set out to wreak vengeance.

WEAPONS: Belladonna uses various chemical gases and perfumes that aid in her criminal activities. Her major type of gas is made up of neo-atropine, a substance derived from the belladonna plant. This gas has the property of making those who breathe it drowsy and eventually unconscious. It also serves to fill a room with a thick opaque vapor, which hinders visibility. A special side effect of the gas is that it dissolves Spider-Man's chemical webbing (or at least it did until he improved his web formula). She employs various other chemical agents.

Belladonna uses a gas gun to propel the various gasses. She also has a special system of tubing stitched into the lining of her coat sleeves, which is activated by an unknown mechanical linkage, for use in the event she is disarmed and needs to employ her gas.
