Historical Data

Abraxas is a cosmic entity embodying destruction on a multiversal scale, intrinsically linked to the existence of Eternity, the sentient embodiment of the universe. So long as Eternity exists, Abraxas remains contained and unable to manifest fully. However, upon the death or destabilization of Eternity, Abraxas emerges to bring about the destruction of all reality.

Abraxas was first unleashed when the cosmic balance was disrupted following the apparent death of Galactus. With Galactus no longer fulfilling his role in maintaining universal equilibrium, Eternity weakened, allowing Abraxas to manifest across multiple realities simultaneously. Unlike most beings, Abraxas exists beyond a single universe and can act concurrently throughout the multiverse.

Expand full history

Once freed, Abraxas began a campaign of annihilation, systematically destroying entire universes and eliminating alternate versions of powerful beings, including numerous incarnations of Galactus. His actions threatened the total collapse of the multiverse.

In response, the Fantastic Four and their allies became involved in a desperate effort to restore balance. Through the use of the Ultimate Nullifier, a weapon of immense cosmic power, Reed Richards was able to reverse the chain of events that had allowed Abraxas to emerge. This act effectively restored Galactus and Eternity, reestablishing the cosmic order and forcing Abraxas back into dormancy.

Since that time, Abraxas has remained a latent threat, his existence tied to the continued stability of Eternity. Should the balance of the universe once again falter, he may return to resume his function as a force of total destruction.

Powers and Abilities

Strength Level: Abraxas possesses incalculable strength, effectively without limit, as he operates on a multiversal scale beyond conventional physical measurement.

Known Superhuman Powers: Abraxas is a manifestation of destructive cosmic forces tied to the fundamental structure of reality itself. As such, his abilities are not derived from physical or mystical sources in the conventional sense, but rather from his intrinsic role within the multiverse.

Abraxas possesses vast reality-altering capabilities, enabling him to destroy entire universes and manipulate space, time, and matter on a multiversal scale. He can exist simultaneously across multiple realities and act independently within each, making him effectively omnipresent within the multiverse when fully manifested.

Expand full details

He has demonstrated the ability to eliminate or overpower entities of immense cosmic power, including alternate versions of Galactus. His control over energy is effectively limitless, allowing him to project destructive forces capable of erasing matter and energy entirely.

Abraxas is effectively immortal and cannot be permanently destroyed by conventional means. His existence is intrinsically linked to Eternity; as long as the universal balance is disrupted, he can manifest. Conversely, the restoration of that balance results in his containment or dormancy.

Due to his nature, Abraxas does not rely on physical combat in the traditional sense. His actions are instead expressed through large-scale cosmic phenomena, including the collapse of realities and the eradication of entire timelines.

Weaponry & Paraphernalia

Abraxas does not normally use weapons or parahernailia.
